• Ignite organise an annual Sales, Marketing & PR mission each Spring on behalf of KSC. We invite a former NASA astronaut to participate alongside the UK & Florida based KSC teams. Highlights of these missions have included:
    • 2014 – John McBride (Space Shuttle Commander) – Consumer Show & UK Radio shows
    • 2015 – JR Reilly – (Mission Specialist – Space Walks) – Regional Schools presentation
    • 2016 – Don Thomas – (Mission Specialist) – Irish Radio show, National UK TV appearances, Half Time appearance at Fulham Football Club, Trade & PR Dinners
    • 2017 – Brian Duffy (Space Shuttle Commander & Pilot) – National TV & Radio coverage, Trade & Media Dinners, School appearances & National Press
    • 2018 – Nicole Stott (3 Space Missions – Mission Specialist) – The first combined UK & German Sales & PR mission – Radio, TV, Press & Dinners
    • 2019 – Jon McBride (Space Shuttle Pilot & resident Astronaut at KSC) – Radio, TV, Press & functions in London, Dublin & Belfast
    • 2020 – Steve Smith (4 shuttle missions, 7 space walks) – Radio, TV & Press in London & Manchester
    • 2022 – Bruce Melnick 2 Shuttle missions & Resident Astronaut at KSC – TV Press & Trade Dinners in London, Birmingham and Manchester
    • 2024 – Jose Hernandez 1 shuttle mission aboard Discovery and star of Netflix Hit show A million Miles away – Trade Dinner in London, TV & Radio Appearances including ITV Lorraine, RTE Ireland, BBC Radio 2 with Dermot O’ Leary and many more
    • 2025 Joan Higginbotham – 1 Mission aboard STS-116 Discovery in 2006, TV & Radio in the UK and Ireland, trade & Media Dinners in London & Dublin.

  • Annual KSC sales have increased between 5 – 10% year on year from the UK & Ireland
  • From 2017 – 2021, Ignite represented KSC across Germany & Scandinavia
  • 2022: 1st Annual UK to Florida Travel Agent Fam trip, 3 days showing UK sales staff the wonders of KSC
  • 2023: Two Fam trips to Florida with agents from Do Something Different and one with Product / Marketing Managers, alongside a return to Representation in the Scandinavian Market
  • 2024: One Dedicated Fam trip with Aer Lingus and Attractionworld, ongoing sales and Marketing initiatives including winner of the OTT National Training prize for Best Attraction course
  • 2025: Agent Fam trip partnering with Experience Kissimmee with an action packed week in Florida and participation in Visit Florida inaugural UK Huddle Event with an Astronaut
